icon is selected. Than release Alt key. Such a using Alt + Tab is a general way to switch between programs in Microsoft Windows (95,98,NT,XP), i.e. it works not only between AAP and its Help.
If you would like to close the help and the help is active you can use Alt+F4 combination. In most cases closing help activates AAP. However switching with Alt+Tab, described above, works in all cases as distinct from Alt + F4. In general if you plan to use Help again soon, it is better to use Alt +Tab. If you don't plan to continue to use help use Alt +F4.
