Twitter as Network of “Fridges”

Rather long I could not understand why Twitter with its 140 characters message may be useful until it did not occurred to me that it plays the role of the fridge in the kitchen where family members post the notes with the refrigerator magnets. Like no family member cannot avoid using the kitchen fridge and never miss the fridge notes, the Twitter subscribers to the messages of a person never miss this person messages.

It means that Twitter is most useful for the close relatives and friends, who live separately, may be even in different countries but keep contacting often. In this case our fiends probably would like to know when they can contact us, i.e. it is useful to send them the tweets with the information about our availability.

However Twitter has the advantage over the fridge because it is actually the network of the “fridges”. Therefore if we call for the help in Twitter, we may get the help from the person that we never heard about.

With twitter we may also become instantly famous to the entire Internet if our tweet is so exciting that our friends will retranslate it. The point is that everyone is at most six steps away from any other person on Earth.

So to become famous is easy :) . Find the news that is interesting to everybody and tweet it.

By the way, why not to produce the domestic refrigerators with the twitter embedded? Or may be some company has already done this?
