Skinning With Windows

Your Voice Reminders skins with MS Windows because in an effective time manager the time saving should have the priority. The skinning with MS Window has at least two advantages in the time saving over the separate skinning. First, the common look of You Voice Reminder controls does not distract your attention from your main work or entertainment more than necessary. Second, you need not spend additional time to skin Your Voice Reminder when apply the new skin to MS Window.

MS Windows supports skins starting from Windows XP, where they are called themes. Below you see how Your Voice Reminders looks in FauxS-TOON skin and the regular Windows XP skin (theme).

Some side party skins seem do not observe Windows XP rules to draw the taskbar. In such skins Your Voice Reminder taskbar clocks may have red background in the adjacent regions. If you don't like this color you may use Your Voice Reminder tray icon instead of the taskbar clocks. See Your Voice Reminder help for the details.

FauxS-TOON skin above is one of the many skins that draws the taskbar correctly and works well with Your Voice Reminder taskbar clock. It was applied with the free edition of WindowBlinds. Please bookmark this page if you are going to visit WindowBlinds and return to Your Voice Reminder later or, even better, download Your Voice Reminder first (3.4 MB).

The choice of WindowBlinds was rather arbitrary. You probably may find other skinning programs in Internet as well as thousands of free skins.
