Why Your Voice Reminder got the features it hasManagement guru Peter F. Drucker wrote in one of his book that people have no reliable sense of time. The obvious solution is of course to have a clock. So the clock that can speak with your voice is the first thing that Your Voice Reminder (YVR) provides. For the time of the writing YVR clock is more customizable than regular Windows clock (they e.g. may have smooth round corners), it allows you to see time more clearly and look at it with more pleasure. Those who prefer to work with hidden Task Bar still can quickly access pop-up round clock in Forthcoming Events pop-up window (see images above) , calendar, forthcoming events as well as all other YVR features. Silent clocks are not enough however because if you are deeply involved in your work or has relaxed and are listening to music you may forget to look at them or would not like to look at them at all. So clocks should produce a signal (chime) or, better, they should speak. The common problem with the speaking clocks is that their embedded voices often become boring. The only voice that is for sure will always be pleasant for you is of course your own. YVR seems is the first program that allows the clock to say the time with your own voice or voice of your close friends. All that you should do to make clock announce time with your voice is to say 29 words. All other is automatic. Most modern laptops have a build in microphone and desktops a socket to plug it in. You can send your voice by e-mail and it could be a great personal gift for your relatives and close friends. Women especially like the voices of their sweethearts. Parents always like the voices of their children. YVR also may remind you about forthcoming events with alarms and start up reminders. You may set both text and voice reminders and alarms. To see forthcoming events list (a kind of to-do list for nearest future) it is sufficient to point with the mouse to YVR icon (clock) at Windows Task Bar and wait a little. Your Voice Reminder itself prepare to-do list that is ready to view or to print. You just set the startup reminders and alarms. The printable to-do list in the portable format that fit virtually any bag or pocket is especially handy when you should unexpectedly leave your computer and get all your reminders and alarms with you To relax a bit while looking at your forthcoming events list you may attach your favorite image to be seen side by side with it. The beauty of this solution is that you may quickly hide the image moving the mouse pointer out of the icon. Not all images are intended to be seen by others, you know. For those of you who prefer to use all screen and hide Task Bar, YVR also has a solution. You can quickly see the time and access other YVR features holding Ctrl key and moving mouse to the right edge of the screen. Your Voice Reminder (YVR) is shipped with many sample alarms and reminders including most major US holidays. I suggest that you use them as starting point to set your own because it seems to be the easiest way to learn how to do it (as it is in general true for any subject to learn). Open Notes Browser for all days. Then edit appropriate items and customize them as needed. I hope you will like Your Voice Reminder. Download its free to try full featured version.
